The Parc Merveilleux is home to almost 200 different species. During your guided tour, we'll take a closer look at some of them. You'll learn a lot about them by observing and describing them. Do they have feathers or fur? Where do they live? What do they eat? Are they threatened with extinction? Feeding the animals is also part of the program. Content is age appropriated.
What exactly is a forest? What are the different types of forests? On an expedition through the rainforest, we'll encounter a variety of exotic plants and animals. But why are these biodiverse forests disappearing? We'll discuss the reasons and look for solutions together.
How is our zoo organized? How many animals live at the park? What work has to be done every day? Where is the food prepared? Who takes care of sick animals? Find out about all of this and more with a look behind the scenes at Parc Merveilleux.
This workshop focuses on biodiversity and its protection. We will discover the Red List and learn which animal species are particularly threatened. We will explore the difference between species conservation and animal welfare.
Breeding programmes, which help preserve endangered animal species and ensure the long-term survival of their populations, will be another key focus. We will also discover why it is important for animals to have a variety of activities and how this enables them to express their natural behaviours.
